FAQ

Is CLIPKICK social media?
CLIPKICK is not a social media platform; it is a personal media cloud. This means that you own your content and have full control over who gets to view it. CLIPKICK does not incorporate public feeds, likes, or anonymous commenting, which are common features of social media platforms. Instead, any engagement is handled through direct chats. The platform focuses on privacy and the secure sharing of media collections with select individuals.

What can CLIPKICK do for me?
CLIPKICK offers various use cases tailored to different types of users:

Individuals and Families: Use CLIPKICK to privately store, stream, and share personal media collections with friends and family. You can create playlists, organize media by events or interests, and even mirror them to a smart TV for collective viewing.

Creators: Securely save works in progress, bookmark reference work, and share exclusive content with VIPs. CLIPKICK allows creators to control who accesses their media and offers monetization through tipping and paywall features.

Educators and Trainers: Compile courses and share them privately with students, or create programs and share them with specific groups or individuals. This is especially useful for live presentations or private educational content delivery.

Companies and Organizations: Facilitate collaboration by sharing and updating media content securely with team members. It’s useful for sharing training media collections and internal communications.

Professional Networking: CLIPKICK can also be used to set up small exclusive groups where professionals can share content securely, leveraging the paywall for premium access
CLIPKICK’s focus on privacy and security makes it a compelling choice for users who want to share media content securely and manage audiences without the pressure and drawbacks of traditional social media.

Is CLIPKICK meant to replace my social media channels?
CLIPKICK is not meant to replace your social media. Instead, it is designed as a personal media cloud service that complements social media by providing a private and secure way to store, organize, and share your media collections and make money by offering subscriptions to exclusive content and chat groups to your most dedicated social media followers. CLIPKICK aims to relieve the pressures often associated with social media, especially in developmental stages of the creative process, by removing public feeds, likes, and anonymous commenting, allowing users to control exactly who sees their content. CLIPKICK is intended to work alongside social media rather than replace it.
Does CLIPKICK charge a subscription fee?
Yes, CLIPKICK does charge a subscription fee and offers a free starter plan. Subscription fees give you the peace of mind to save, share, and monetize your content without the stress of social media. We offer various pricing plans to suit different users’ needs:

Starter: Free with 2 GB cloud storage and 10 connections. Advertising supported.

Basic: $4.99 per month for 200 GB cloud storage, 100 connections, and additional features.

Pro: $9.99 per month offering 500 GB storage and more connectivity options.

Pro Plus: $19.99 per month for 1 TB of cloud storage and further expanded features.

Enterprise: Customized pricing at $5 per user per month, including additional business features.

Paywalls and Tipping: CLIPKICK keeps 15% of creator paywall and tipping revenue when creators sell their digital media.

These fees enable CLIPKICK to operate as private cloud and not be dependent on advertising revenue. CLIPKICK only shows limited advertising to users on the free plan. This offers many benefits to users with paid subscriptions, as most of the negative impact of social media is due to their dependence on advertising, making you the product, and getting the most eyeballs no matter what the priority. Because of subscription fees, CLIPKICK can operate without public feeds, likes, commenting, and undeterred bot traffic; and without selling your data.

What kind of files are compatible with CLIPKICK?
CLIPKICK is compatible with over 100 media file types, including video, sound, images, PDFs, and documents. It allows you to securely upload, store, stream, and share a wide range of media privately. CLIPKICK prepares your files for streaming and saves the original file for you to download later if you like. Unlike most cloud drives, when you share media to your connections, they can securely stream the file without copying the whole file to their drive, saving them cloud space and cost. They can only download the file if you give them the permission.
Can I make money with CLIPKICK?
Yes, you can make money with CLIPKICK through several methods.

Here are some options:

Paywall and Tipping: You can create a paywall and charge subscriptions or one-time fees for access to your media. Additionally, you can enable tipping so that your connections can tip you directly via your profile. These features allow you to earn directly from your content.

Affiliate Program: By becoming a CLIPKICK affiliate, you can earn commissions from the revenue of creators you introduce to CLIPKICK. You can make 5% of the tipping and paywall revenue of any creator you bring to CLIPKICK for one year, and then 2% forever after.

Shared Content Revenue: You can team up with affiliates to distribute your content using affiliate links, and share a portion of the revenue with them. This can help expand your reach exponentially by having others distribute your content.

These options give you the flexibility to monetize your media content on CLIPKICK effectively, while retaining ownership and control of the distribution of your content, while having the best protections against pirating and copyright infringement.

How is CLIPKICK different from other personal media sites like Patreon?
CLIPKICK differs from Patreon in several key ways:

Content Management and Sharing:
Most creator subscription sites offer a webpage “Post” format. Subscribers have to click from page to page to access content, CLIPKICK uses a unique interface centered around playlists called “lineups,” making it user-friendly and similar to streaming services like Netflix or Spotify. Media can autoplay through playlists making it great for educational and training programs, music, audio books, photo and video albums. CLIPICK also offers a secure pdf reader that allows for easy reading but restricts downloading making it a great way to share copyrighted material you don’t want copied or bootlegged. CLIPKICK is designed for personal media, focusing on privacy and user control and security, unlike Patreon and Soundcloud, which is more like broadcasting platforms.

Content Guidelines:
CLIPKICK is a safe-for-all platform that does not allow nudity, lewd, or pornographic content in its public offerings. This makes it distinct from Patreon and other platforms where adult content might be permissible.

By focusing on direct content control, user-friendly media management, and a strict content policy, CLIPKICK serves as a more private and controlled alternative to traditional social media and patronage platforms like Patreon.

Is CLIPKICK and alternative to OnlyFans?
In short, no. While CLIPKICK and OnlyFans both offer content sharing and subscription capabilities, CLIPKICK is not positioned as an alternative to OnlyFans. CLIPKICK is a private cloud, but when you put content behind a paywall in CLIPKICK it becomes publicly available and needs to be suitable for all audiences and not contain nudity or adult content. We do review paywall content to make sure it’s compliant with our community guidelines.

If you are someone that doesn’t want to be associated with adult content, CLIPKICK is a good place for you.
