CLIPKICK offers secure encrypted messaging/chat functionality within the app.
You can message your connections directly or create groups of your connections to chat securely around your media playlists (lineups) and individual media files.
The simplest way to create a chat is to hit the Chat Icon on the top of your My Clips page.
The Main Chat screen will open. Here you will see all your existing direct and group chats. To start a new chat, click the Plus Sign in the upper right hand corner and your connections will appear. Here you can start a direct chat with any of your connections. To start a group chat, click Create Group and select the connections to add to the group and click Next, then enter a name for the group chat and click Finish.
You can start a chat around a lineup or media file by clicking the Chat Icon underneath a lineup on your My Clips screen or under an individual media file on your Player screen.When you click chat under a lineup or individual media file, if the lineup was set to Master Chat Group active, then the master chat will open and anybody that lineup was shared with can participate in the chat. The master chat group will open for both your lineups and lineups your connections have shared with you.
If Master Chat Group was not selected for a lineup, when you click on the Chat Icon, for your lineups you will see a list of all your connections you have shared the lineup with and you can chat with them directly. If the lineup was share with you by one of your connections, if you are not a collaborator, you can only chat with the owner of the lineup. If you are a collaborator, you will see a list of all the connections the lineup was shared with, and you can chat with any of them directly or create groups.
CLIPKICK doesn’t have anonymous commenting under media or lineups. If anyone has a comment, they can chat directly. As a convenience, when you click chat under a lineup or media file, a thumbnail that links to that lineup or media file will show up in the chat window for you. This is designed to help you communicate which media you are referring to with your message. You can delete this thumbnail before you send the message if you like.
You can leave groups, delete chats, and block and report users by clicking the three dots … when you have the chat open.
Another added benefit to CLIPKICK secure chat is with paywalls you can charge a premium for your digital products by giving subscribers access to you directly and/or with your growing community of subscribers.
