Sharing Media

With CLIPKICK only people you share your content with directly can see it. You can share lineups, individual media files, or links to any media on the web.

To share your media, click Share under the lineup or the individual file on the player screen that you want to share, then you will see a list of your connections. Select the connections you would like to share the media with, then click share. You can select multiple connections here or check share to all connections to save time. Now you are offered controls for how your media will be handled. You can select View only. With this option the connection can only view your media, they can’t download the file or share it with anyone. This is the best option for sharing copyrighted material. Allow saving and download, then they can also download the original media file, or Allow collaboration, where they have the additional permissions to add media to the lineup, edit the lineup order, and share the media with others.

On the share page you can search for existing CLIPKICK users to connect with.  You can invite your contacts to join CLIPKICK via email, or sms text on our mobile apps. You can also generate an invite link that will work for up to 1000 people. When inviting someone during the share process, after they register, they will automatically be connected with you and be able to see the media you shared with them.

You can select Share link (public only) if you want to share the media with someone and not require them to log into CLIPKICK. This option is not as secure as anyone that has this link can view your media. Note, public links are not meant for streaming in large numbers. There is a 1000 view limit on public links. After a public link has reached 1000 views, anyone that hits the link will be prompted to log in to view it.

With CLIPKICK you don’t get likes or comments on the media you share, but after you share a lineup or media file you do get a notification when someone first opens the file to view it.  You can click the Open icon to see who opened your media and the People icon to see who you shared your media with.

You can also securely chat with people you are connected with by clicking the Chat icon.  So, if someone wants to say something about what you shared, they can tell you directly, instead of leaving an anonymous comment for all to see.
